Roode Vallei Country Lodge has been a popular conference and wedding venue since it opened in the mid 1980’s. Offering rustic charm, pleasing quality, reliable service and cosy comfort, Roode Vallei is a dependable venue choice that is set in a picturesque location.
Conducive to thought provoking communication and strategic thinking, the Lodge is professionally staffed and equipped for conference purposes. The professional input, from in-house conference coordinators, ensures that specific and unique corporate activities are personalized, thus always ensuring a favourable and memorable event. In addition, unique outdoor teambuilding activities have proven immensely popular and successful amongst many corporate groups.
On the wedding front, magnificent trees and beautiful gardens create the backdrop for every bride’s wedding dream. A photographer’s paradise unfolds and the memories are readily harnessed at the click of a button. Generous country style buffets from the restaurant kitchen create scrumptious meals embracing both traditional and international cuisine.
The privacy of the Lodge, without disturbance from holidaymakers and day visitors, ensures that both the corporate conference events and private wedding affairs remain uninterrupted.
Accommodation
Comfortable hotel rooms furnished with rustic and wooden furniture are decorated with attractive fabrics in earth tones. Several accommodation options are available
- 4 Thatch Rooms with a double bed in each
- Riverside Rooms, two double beds in each
- Garden Rooms with one double bed in each
- Hotel Rooms with two double beds in each
Each room is fitted with an en suite bathroom comprising both a shower and bath.
All rooms are fitted with the following:

- Telephones
- Tea & coffee making facilities
- Air-conditioners
- Mosquito nets

Our Valley Restaurant and Bar
‘Our Valley Restaurant’ which originated from the original Farmhouse, has maintained its rustic charm and unique ambience. The restaurant kitchen is known for its delicious and plentiful country style buffets. The scrumptious options are varied on a daily basis and include dishes from both a traditional and international cuisine as well as fresh breads, pastries and scrumptious desserts that are all baked on site.
The restaurant serves daily buffet meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Strictly Halaal & Kosher meals can be ordered in for guests in accordance with ordering requirements.
Weddings
We can accommodate groups of 60 to 150 guests; whether your wedding is a small intimate affair or a large gathering of friends and family. Our Tea Garden is the prefect setting for a romantic garden ceremony for 60 guests and the Sunbird Room is an indoors venue suitable for ceremonies up to 150 guests.
Photographic memories of your most precious day can be captured in our beautiful gardens or against the picture perfect backdrop of the Pienaar's River.

Your menu is an integral part of your event and our kitchen is legendary for its generous country style buffets, creating exciting menus of traditional and international cuisine. If you’re looking for a more specific menu, your co-ordinator and our Executive Chef will gladly discuss any suggestions you may have.
